Laser Engraving
Many of the products that you see advertised on our website have the ability to be decorated in various methods. One of these methods is laser engraving. This method of decoration involves using a machine to indent into the product an intricate design or word that will last for the life of the product. Laser engraving, unlike traditional engraving methods, does not use tool bits to mark the object. The digital machines use a laser to delicately indent the surface with an ability to create more complex and fine logos than previously existed.
Certain materials can be laser engraved including plastics, metals and some fabric surfaces. We have many products that can be laser engraved. A list of them is as follows, pens both plastic and metallic, metal keyrings, corporate gifts, some caps (including leather and suede), compendiums, badges, buckles, footwear, etching on some glassware +heaps more. Most of the items that encourage a laser engraved decoration option are metal, but some polymer plastics turn out especially well. The process of ‘engraving’ leather, imitative leather or PU products is usually referred to as embossing or debossing. This does involve a laser technique, but it generally is not as intricate as a metallic or plastic surface. Our metallic keyrings are recommended to be laser engraved as the decoration lasts for the life of the product. This is generally the same price as opting for a 1 colour print and you only pay one set up fee. It is the choice of the customer, as to the preferred method of decoration, but we do suggest engraving on most metallic surfaces as prints may rub off over time. If you need to know whether or not a product that we offer can be engraved, you can simply contact us and we will tell you your options.
